Livery Pack Updates!
I have been working hard behind the scenes and have confirmed that livery packs for DC Designs aircraft are working! I have just approved them for release on the 2024 Marketplace, so existing owners will be seeing them available shortly! This applies to both my F-5 and F-4 packs. Given the update cycle, it may be 1-2 weeks before they appear BUT the greenlight has been given!
Now that the good news is out of the way… of course there are some caveats. Initially, these will unfortunately appear as a different aircraft entry in your MSFS2024 selection screen. I have identified the issue and a partial resolution for it. I am preparing an update for the all the F-4 packs to bring them back inside the single aircraft entry in the selection screen as well as the F-5’s. Of course, it wouldn’t be flight simulator if this didn’t then lead to new issues! My livery packs will then create a new “variant” under the main aircraft entry which you will then be able to pick the livery of. Seriously…how did Asobo make this so hard?
The F-5 update is a little bigger as it also includes support for the tip tanks for the upcoming update from DC. Expect these updates in the next few weeks. The F-5’s will also feature several minor texture updates to fix some issues that were missed during QA.
My other packs are still on hold pending action by Asobo/Microsoft, however the community in its awesomeness may have found a way to be able to work around it which I will be testing out in the coming days.
Finally, the next livery pack for the DC Design’s F-5 is getting the final touches and should be released around the same time as the updates.
