Description
This aircraft has been repainted in the colours of the now defunct Norfolk Island Airways. Norfolk Island Airways examined the possibility of using 737’s on the route to Norfolk Island from Sydney and Brisbane. It was considered marginal at best however still within the airlines plans for future growth through supplementing Passenger load with Air Freight. Sadly political maneuverings and the events in the aviation industry in Australia in the late 1980s led to the demise of Norfolk Island Airways along with many other airlines in Australia at the time. This leads us to a mere what-if scenario of a possible future lost forever.
