Description
The Cessna century series has been the introduction to many a pilot taking to the skies for the first time. Australia Air Force Cadets are no exception. For many years RAAF cadets would partner with flying clubs and a standard was issued that Air Cadet aircraft would be painted in high visibility yellow. Maintained on the civil register but carrying the RAAF roundels, the “Yellow Perils” were a frequent sight at airfields around Australia until the late 1980’s when the political winds changed and the sanctioned colour schemes withdrawn. This is a repaint of VH-DIN from photos taken at Moorabbin airport in the late 1970’s.
