USAAC P-51H Tuskegee Airmen Tribute

Category:

Description

This is repaint for the Aircraft Factory (A2A) P-51H. This livery is based on a P-51D flown by members of the 100th Fighter Squadron, 332nd Fighter Group, known as the Tuskegee Airmen. This was the first African American combat unit to serve with the United States Army Air Corps. They would go on to be known as the “Red Tails” due to their distinctive tail markings.

To find out more about these pilots and their contributions to the freedoms the world is supposed to be enjoying, head to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuskegee_Airmen and grab a copy of the movie “Red Tails”.

This livery was created during a livestream by Novawing24 on Mixer.com/novawing24 as part of the #TheShowMustBePaused movement. It is a collaboration with TigerMouseDesigns who provided specular maps and the noseart.
