Supermarine Spitfire LF Mk IX MK698 / T9+EK

Description

During war, it is wise to be skilled in the ways of your adversary. It is not uncommon that during war, material is captured and evaluated and even repurposed by opposing sides.

Spitfire LF Mk IX MK698 was serving with 412 Squadron RCAF when shot down by a Bf109E and crash landed near Wachendonk 5 December 1944. Pilot Officer CWH Glithevo survived and became a Prisoner of War.

Following its crash landing, the aircraft was repaired and used by the Zirkus Rosarius, a unit of the Luftwaffe that was tasked with evaluating and demonstrating captured Allied aircraft during WWII. This livery depicts the airframe whilst in service with this unit. This is as historically accurate as I can make it from a range of reference sources.

This livery is for the Flyingiron Simulations Spitfire LF Mk IXc for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Package includes a self installation executable. You will need to know the location of your Microsoft Flight Simulator Community folder to complete installation.

This is a Freeware product. Just select $0 for the price. If you want to set your own price to help support my work that is also super cool too! 😎
